Fit Soldiers you are the best!  Here is a quickie and some announcements!

“You are not the victim of your metabolism, you are the creator of your metabolism.”

What are you doing to create a killer, eat what you want when you want metabolism?  I want to know.  If you are unsure here are my incites from what I have seen and experienced, in no particular order and list not exhaustive.

Water – If your not getting enough your blood becomes like old oil in your car.  Yes, Sludge.  Not flowing very quickly, slowing down all operations in your body including your metabolism.  Bear minimum, 64oz per day.

Breakfast – I know I know you’ve heard it a million times before, but yet you still choose to over look this amazing metabolism booster.

5 meals per day – And make sure your portions are appropriate.  By eating throughout the day your body is feeding off of what you give it creating a more consistent energy level, hence burning more calories.  Say goodbye to the highs and lows of your energy and mood.

Exercise – Lean muscle is your metabolism.  If you diet with no exercise, particularly strength training, your body is cannibalizing and you muscles are the prey.  An proper pre, and post-workout meal will get the most of our killer cardio strength training workouts, and you will be torching fat and boosting your metabolism for up to 48 hours!

As 2009 rolled in Fit Soldiers Fitness Boot Camp was just a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things and more of just a side project to get me away from the monotony of 1v1 training in a gym. As the year went on the BC’s stuck around slowly growing with people, formats adjusted, programs were revamped, and a lot of results to be had. Upon moving inside this past fall the BC’s grew from one camp to four camps!

Now as 2009 comes to a close these last few months have continued to be an amazing blessing. Most notably this past week we have found a permanent home. Located at 2100 East 112th Ave Unit 2. Northglenn CO, 80233

With a space to call our own we will now have the freedom and liberty to open up more boot camp times, host free charity boot camps whenever, host free nutrition seminars and the list goes on. We are truly thankful and excited for the growth and results that will be delivered in 2010. If your not in yet, don’t miss the boat!

We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog to bring you… The answer to easily the most asked question, and probably the hardest to answer.  If you have a good answer let me hear it.  Mine…”Your going to get a full warm up and cool down, sandwiched in between is going to be a total body rockin’ workout that will be different each day!”

Before I hit up BC number two this evening I will be tackling the daunting task of creating a Nutrition Crash Course for boot campers.  I’m excited for the end results but putting it together will be some work.

Nutrition can be 75% of your results.  I stay away from the word “diet” because I feel that diets are temporary.  People yoyo off of them all the time.  Wrestlers diet to make weight, bodybuilders diet to look ripped for a show, and yes regular people diet to lose weight.  The problem with regular people dieting is that there is nothing permanent about it your out of your regular bad habit routine eating food you don’t like.  You keep up with it for a day, week, or a month depending on how disciplined you are.  Then what?  That tempting candy jar at work, spouse brings home your weakness food, or you just can take eating crap any more.  So you crash off your diet and your back to ways and all that diet time is wasted.

Yes you will have to change some eating habits but not so drastic to go on a diet.  My goal is to teach you how, why, and what to eat in order to create new positive eating habits so that you can gain maximum results out of your efforts.

Post comments on what your biggest weakness is.  (candy, chocolate, fast food?) That’s OK it will probably be uncomfortable but you don’t make any progress until you get uncomfortable.  Get out of your comfort zone!
