Do Not Start A Resolution
That's right, throw all this New Year's crap out the window. This time of year many people make resolutions especially something related to health or fitness. More often than not people crash and burn hard when they realize how difficult of a resolution they have actually made.
When I hear those false claims of "I'm going to lose weight this year..." or "this is the year..."
I have to wonder if they are serious. Or are they like the majority of the "gym" membership crowd that falls off their resolution wagon within the first three weeks of the new year?
The way I see it is that you can and should be setting, striving, and reaching goals all the time. All en route to reaching longer term goals. It should be continuous progress. In order to reach those goals you need to rethink the way your doing things now.
If a super value meal has be a staple in your diet for the past 10 years you will need to make some drastic changes. Changes that can't just be talked about. A transformation and lifestyle change needs to take place.
It will take some time, so a little patience is needed. The patience will lead to persistence and persistence results.
A revolution needs to happen. So please...
Do not start a resolution. Start a revolution.
Dictionary.com defines revolution as: an overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed.
Overthrow the old you and demand a new you!
