Naughty or Nice?

Well the day has come.  Christmas is tomorrow... You have less than 24 hours to finish your shopping.  As a personal trainer and fitness professional this is a tough time of year.

It is supposed to be a Joyous time (which it still is) but the fitness side of me is trembling in their boots.

How do you tell a client to watch what they eat?  In other words, don't over-enjoy all the amazingly unhealthy food this weekend.  All in regards to all the hard work you've put in over the last 1, 6, 12+ months.

Yet on the other hand, I can't possibly say, "yeah go ahead just burry yourself in calories, spend a week in a food coma and we'll see ya next year!"

Do you see where I'm coming from.  I guess my hopes are that your old eating habits that got you to where you were are now by the way side and you are instinctively making better choices.  Not craving the sugar.  Knowing when to say no. Filling your plate with veggies that aren't doused in an enormous amount of oil, or creamy sauce.

So this Christmas weekend BE SMART.  You are not children, though it may sound like it when you come in and see a "Santacus" workout on the board today.  But seriously eat smart, listen to your body and don't eat because it's there, eat because you need to live.

We love you all and wish you a Merry Christmas!
